OUR PHILOSOPHY

We design gear to keep up with your life. The Life Well Lived Warranty is our commitment to stand behind our products with honest, lasting support. When something goes wrong through no fault of your own, we'll work to make it right.

Our approach: repair first. Replace when repair isn't possible. Find a fair resolution when neither option is available. We believe in reducing waste, extending product life, and treating customers like the travelers, commuters, and adventurers they are.

COVERAGE AT A GLANCE
The following table summarizes coverage periods. Full terms and conditions follow in the sections below. All coverage is for manufacturing defects only and is limited to the original purchaser.

Important: "Functional lifetime" means up to five (5) years from original purchase of the product — not indefinite coverage for the life of the owner. All warranty remedies expire at the end of the applicable coverage period.

1. Year One: Full Coverage
For the first twelve (12) months from your original purchase date, NOMATIC covers verified manufacturing defects with the following:
• Return shipping provided by NOMATIC
• Outbound shipping label for approved repairs or replacements provided by NOMATIC
• Repair or replacement at NOMATIC’s sole discretion
Year One coverage ensures your gear performs exactly as intended from the start. If a manufacturing defect appears within the first year, we’ll take care of it for you.

2. Years Two Through Five: Limited Coverage
After the first year and through the end of the fifth year from your original purchase date, NOMATIC warrants bags, backpacks, luggage, slings, and camera gear against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

This is a limited warranty. The term “functional lifetime” means up to five (5) years from the date of original purchase — not indefinite coverage tied to the lifespan of the owner or product. All remedies under this warranty, including repair, replacement, and store credit, expire at the end of this five-year period.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only. Products purchased second-hand, through unauthorized resellers, or received as gifts without valid proof of purchase may not qualify.

3. Apparel, Wallets & Accessories
Apparel, wallets, and accessories are covered for one (1) year from the original purchase date under the same terms as Year One coverage above, including return shipping label for approved claims.

4. What’s Covered
We cover manufacturing defects that materially prevent your product from functioning as designed. Examples include:

• Zipper failure caused by a defect in materials or construction (not extended use or overpacking)
• Seam or structural failure due to manufacturing defect
• Wheel or handle malfunction caused by an internal component defect
• Hardware failure under normal use conditions

All claims are evaluated by our warranty team based on submitted photos and documentation and, when necessary, physical inspection of the product. Determination of whether an issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect — versus normal wear, misuse, or accidental damage — is made solely at NOMATIC’s discretion, with our goal being to treat our customers right and provide fair, honest support.

5. What’s Not Covered

The following are not covered under this warranty:

• Cosmetic wear: scratches, fading, scuffs, or surface abrasion
• Fabric wear, coating breakdown, or UV degradation from extended use
• Zipper wear from extended use, aggressive handling, or overpacking beyond intended capacity
• Damage from misuse, abuse, overpacking, or unauthorized modification or repair
• Accidental damage
• Damage from extreme temperatures, humidity, chemicals, solvents, sunscreen, or water exposure beyond normal conditions
• Failure to follow care instructions (see our Product Care Guide)
• Airline or carrier mishandling — please seek remedy directly with your airline or carrier first
• Lost or stolen items
• Products purchased second-hand or from unauthorized resellers
• Items marked as final sale, scratch & dent, or lost & found

6. How to File a Claim
To submit a warranty claim, visit our warranty portal HERE and provide the following:

• Proof of purchase (see Section 12 below for acceptable documentation)
• Clear photos or video showing the defect
• A brief description of when and how the issue appeared

Claims submitted without sufficient documentation may be delayed or denied. Our warranty team will review your submission and respond with a determination and next steps, including any applicable shipping instructions, within 14 business days.

Shipping labels and instructions will only be issued after a claim has been reviewed and approved. Do not return a product before receiving approval and shipping instructions.

7. Shipping Policy
PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS
All returned products must be shipped in a secure corrugated cardboard box. Return labels may not be applied directly to the product, luggage shell, dust bag, or retail packaging. Products returned without proper external boxing will be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense. NOMATIC is not responsible for damage incurred during transit due to improper packaging.

YEAR ONE (MONTHS 1–12)
For approved claims submitted within the first twelve months of purchase:

NOMATIC provides an inbound return shipping label
NOMATIC provides an outbound shipping label for all approved repairs or replacements

AFTER YEAR ONE (MONTH 13 ONWARD)
For approved claims submitted after twelve months, a flat inbound return shipping fee applies based on product type:

• NOMATIC will issue a return shipping label once the flat shipping fee has been paid
• NOMATIC provides an outbound shipping label for all approved repairs or replacements
• Flat shipping fees are non-refundable once a return shipping label has been issued
• Customers are responsible for securely packaging their returned product. NOMATIC is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit due to improper packaging

8. Our Repair-First Commitment
Whenever possible, we repair. Repairing a product is better for the environment, better for the integrity of your gear, and a sign that we built something worth fixing. We prioritize repair over replacement at every stage of the claims process.

Repaired products are restored to functional condition. Repairs may include patches, visible stitching, or solutions that make the product work as intended, though not necessarily appear as new. NOMATIC’s repair standard is functional performance, not cosmetic perfection.

If repair is not feasible due to part availability, the severity of the damage, or the nature of the defect, NOMATIC may, at its sole discretion, take one of the following actions:

• Replace with the same item if currently available
• Replace with a comparable current model, defined as a NOMATIC product of similar function and category as determined by NOMATIC. NOMATIC does not guarantee replacement with an identical model or a model of equivalent retail price
• Issue store credit per the schedule in Section 9

9. Store Credit & Replacement
If repair is not possible and your product’s exact model is unavailable for replacement — including cases where a product has been discontinued or is out of stock — NOMATIC will issue store credit in the form of a digital NOMATIC gift card.

Store credit is not a cash refund and cannot be exchanged for cash. Digital gift cards do not expire and can be applied to any purchase at NOMATIC.ca.

Store credit is calculated based on the product’s original MSRP at the time of purchase and the age of the product at the time of the approved claim:

"Original MSRP" means the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the product at the time of the original purchase, as reflected on your proof of purchase.

Cumulative warranty remedies for a given product, across all claims, shall not exceed the original MSRP. Replacement products do not reset the warranty clock and assume the remaining coverage period of the original product.

10. Coverage Limits
Warranty coverage is limited to one (1) approved claim per original product purchased. Once a claim has been fulfilled through repair, replacement, or store credit, that product’s warranty coverage is considered satisfied.

If a replacement product arrives with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 30 days of receipt. We will address the issue during that window.

All warranty remedies, including repair, replacement, reimbursement, and store credit, are limited to the defined coverage period and shall not exceed the original MSRP of the product.

11. Discontinued Products
If your product has been discontinued and an identical replacement is not available, NOMATIC will offer one of the following at its sole discretion:

• A comparable current NOMATIC model of similar function and category
• Store credit per the schedule in Section 9

NOMATIC does not guarantee like-for-like replacement of discontinued products. Store credit issued for discontinued products follows the same age-based schedule as all other warranty remedies.

12. Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. Acceptable documentation includes:

• Original or digital receipt
• Order confirmation email
• Other documentation clearly showing the product name, purchase price, and original purchase date

Product registration is encouraged and expedites the claims process, but is not required as a condition of warranty coverage. Register your product by clicking HERE.

13. Warranty Limits & Abuse Prevention
To protect the fairness of our warranty program for all customers, NOMATIC reserves the right to limit or deny claims where fraud, misuse, or abuse of the warranty program is suspected. This includes, but is not limited to, a pattern of excessive claims across multiple products from a single customer or household.

All determinations regarding eligibility, defect classification, repairability, replacement, and credit value are made at NOMATIC’s sole discretion.

NOMATIC reserves the right to modify this warranty policy for products purchased in the future. The policy in effect at the time of original purchase governs that product’s warranty coverage.

14. International Claims
This website only services customers within Canada. For international customers please visit: nomatic.com
